Biography

Melissa Raduazzo is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and the American College of Cardiology. She received her master’s degree in nursing from Sage Graduate School in Troy, NY. Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the State University of New York at Brockport in Brockport, NY. She has extensive experience working in cardiology, delivering specialized cardiac care to patients in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Melissa has a great interest in helping others and educating patients. Working in medicine allows her to excel in both of these areas.

Melissa remembers when she first learned about bones and muscles in 5th grade and how fascinated she was. As she got older, her interest only grew. Her mother is also a nurse, and she saw how rewarding the job was and how much her mother loved it. Melissa knew there was so much she could pursue as a nurse, so she decided to attend nursing school. After becoming a registered nurse, she didn’t want to stop there. Melissa wanted to go further to help patients differently, which is why she pursued her advanced nursing degree. She loves the patient interaction and being able to explain and talk to patients personally while being able to treat them as well.

Melissa’s favorite part of the job is knowing she has helped someone, whether it’s from simple explanations, teaching them about their medications or diagnosis, or holding their hand in difficult moments. As a compassionate and thorough nurse practitioner, she believes communication is the most important aspect of quality care.

Melissa grew up in Waterford, NY, and she loves spending time with her two busy sons and husband.
